Photonics is increasingly becoming a part of industrial equipment, not only in obvious areas like laser processing, but also in inspection, sensing, alignment, and other functions that rely on light-based technologies. Because these technologies increasingly show up inside the machines or are closely related to the machines Tech Group builds, the company has joined the European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC) to stay closer to the people and organizations shaping this field.

The membership places Tech Group among more than 800 companies working across the photonics value chain chain, from lasers and sensors to imaging, integrated photonics, optical components, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Participating in this community provides a steady flow of practical knowledge: how different companies solve technical challenges, what kinds of components are becoming standard, and which approaches are gaining support across the industry.

EPIC’s activities cover fields like laser manufacturing, optical sensing, and photonics‑enabled production technologies, all of which are highly relevant to companies building advanced machinery. The consortium maintains a strong presence at major industry events and exhibitions across Europe.

These insights support long‑term thinking and help the company prepare for new business directions and shifts in customer requirements without resorting to guesswork.

Companies working in photonics or related fields are welcome to reach out.
